“The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.” —Morrie Schwartz (1916 - 1995); educator
On today's agenda is a bit of housework, a bit of yardwork later (I'm going to learn how to operate the lawnmower), and some painting.
I am getting close to the halfway point of completion with the commission I'm currently working on, and I'm starting to feel a little pressure as Anthrocon looms closer. I don't want to turn work away at the con, but neither do I want to come home with a massive queue again either. Guess we'll see what happens!
I did a little personal artwork yesterday, I was feeling bleh, and thought maybe if I did something fun for me, I'd be happier to work on the stuff I should be. It really worked out well, so I will likely start interspersing little drawings that I can share, since I never feel comfortable sharing commissions until they're completed.

Speaking of Anthrocon, I am beginning to do my preparation for the Introduction to Watercolor/Gouache panel I'm running. I am thinking it will most likely be a discussion panel, unless attendance is low enough that I have enough old brushes for everyone to try out the medium. For those of you that work in water media, are there any questions you particularly would have liked answered when you were first starting? Or are there things you think I should go over? Please let me know! If you have advice running panels, that would be great too! I'm a little nervous, this is the first time I've ever tried this. :)
Right now, Anthrocon is my event horizon, I'm not really planning past that. ;) I WILL get the website redesign done this summer. (Thinking positive here!) And I need to go through my inventory and figure out what originals and prints I still have. I will probably hold a sale this fall.
I hope everyone has a great week. :)
