“The moment when you first wake up in the morning is the most wonderful of the twenty-four hours. No matter how weary or dreary you may feel, you possess the certainty that, during the day that lies before you, absolutely anything may happen. And the fact that it practically always doesn't, matters not a jot. The possibility is always there.” --- Monica Baldwin (1893 – 1975); author
Phew! Since school ended, I wanted to dive right into getting my commission queue whittled down, and I've made a good start. I completed two paintings this week, and I'm approximately 98% done with a third. I've got a smattering of large full-BG pieces, and I think working them in among the smaller pieces is going to be the way to go. Keeps me from burnout. :)
I've been pondering what I want to do with this blog lately, and I'm not really sure yet what I want to do. Book reviews, artwork, personal observations/anecdotes... Maybe different topics on different days? I'm not sure! I started this blog as an outright journal, then changed over to art promotion... and I'm not sure how productive posting artwork is here.
Maybe I should do a poll, get some idea of how many people only look for my art here vs one of my other galleries.
At any rate, I will be thinking about this. If any of you have thoughts or suggestions, or just want to share your own experiences, please let me know! Or hey, if there's a topic you'd like to see me write about.. by all means! :D
