Daily Post -- Wednesday Edition

Quote of the Day:

"Far better is it to dare mighty things and win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank among those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory or defeat." --- Theodore Roosevelt

I chose this quote this morning because it's something that... well.. I need to hear every now and then.

Art News:

Yesterday... was productive. I inked Tigerwolf's commission, banged out linework (and inked it) for a return address label for duncandahusky and takaza, and spent a couple hours working on the filing system in my computer (over halfway done!) . I'll upload everything in a day or two, there are a couple of color pieces I somehow never managed to upload, so I have some old (but new!) stuff for folks.

Current Projects:

I will probably do more housework today, I want to finish up my filing, make a list of the books I need for class next week. I need to look up some reference images so I can get an idea of how I'm going to paint Tigerwolf's commission (it's another stretch out of my comfort zone for me), and I need to assemble a few things so I can offer them for sale at FurFright. Busy day!

Nifty things:

Do You Want to Date my Avatar? -- (video) I know I posted a video yesterday, but takaza pointed me to The Guild, apparently a project Felicia Day was working on before she did Dr. Horrible. More specifically, he pointed me to the music video of this song. I'm not... really sure what I think of The Guild yet (it's a group of people that play an MMO waaaaay too much), but I really liked the song.

It's not a Klee Kai! -- Yesterday, while rummaging up reference for takaza's commission, I ran across miniature Siberian Huskies. According to the breeder, the dogs are bred for a naturally occurring genetic mutation that produces a Siberian that is between 10 and 14 inches in height, and weighs less than 25lbs. They're very cute, and I can see how this could work out great for apartment dwellers. (You know you want one, duncandahusky!)

Have a great day!
