Daily Post -- Monday "Green Clean" Edition

Quote of the Day:

"Beauty is only skin deep, and the world is full of thin skinned people." -- Richard Armour

My mother always quoted the 'beauty is skin deep' thing at me as an adolescent, and this... made me giggle.

Art News:

I didn't get much personal work done over the weekend, but I'm starting to realize I need some sort of database system. Not just to keep track of commissions, but... I need to be able to keep track of where I've uploaded things, because at this point, I have no idea.

I want to start putting Heron onto nice paper, and I'd like to begin Tigerwolf's large commission. I'd like to finish one of them this week... we'll see how much time I can devote to it.

Current Projects:

I want to clean out our garage so we can actually park in there this winter. Once the flurry of friends moving is over, I'll send out a call for some strong backs to help us lift and move a few heavy items, and that'll make things much easier.

School starts next week, and I start work in the Writing Center the week after. I'm not sure if I'm excited or not... I do love shopping for school supplies (the smell of new paper... yum!).

Nifty things:

Make your own Cheap Green Cleaning Products -- One of the things I love about watching 'How Clean is Your House?' on the BBC (besides feeling much better about the cleanliness of my own living space) is that they are often giving tips to combine a few household items to clean with. I am ALL about not spending $$$$ on cleaning supplies, especially if I can help the environment while I'm at it!

OK, the house is clean, what about you? -- More DIY "green" options, but for your skin rather than the house. Great option for between Spa days!

Have a great day!

I do wonder how many lemons those ladies go through in a season. o_o

I think they purchase by the truckload. :)

I don't know where you precisely live ... but if it's somewhere in the northern part of Chicago, I'd be more than happy to help you move. If it's south of Chicago, that sounds more like a four-hour-each-way trip... so I'd have to think about it, but it wouldn't be an automatic no.

I'm pretty far north, but haven't figured out how many people are needed or when we're going to take care of it. Thank you for the offer! :)
