"We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee." --- Marian Wright Edelman
I didn't get a whole lot done yesterday; I did a bit of work on a special project that... I want to get a bit more done on before I upload. Today we have a beautiful thunderstorm rolling through which, while inspiring.... makes my lighting uncertain for painting. So we'll see.
I DO have some art to share:
The new face of cheekitty arts! She's going to be on my business cards, and is featured on the new cheekitty.com website design.
I'm currently working on a special art project for friends concurrently with commission work. I'm about to begin painting a badge for Crimson, and a fun commission for Tigerwolf. Heron was voted as the next painting to finish, so I'll get that penciled out on nice paper this weekend so I can start painting soon.
We went to a birthday party last evening, and had a lot of fun! Today we're going to a friend's new house to help pick out paint color, and back to the grind tomorrow. Sometime this week I'll be driving down to hang out with another artist, because... well... productivity soars when you get artists together, right?
Michael Jordan mural made of gatorade bottles -- I wasn't aware of the creation of this, but the Chicagoist has a link not only to the finished art, but a video of it being made. Very cool!
Ikea Hacked Home Office -- The Ikea Hacker website is a dangerous place for the DIY Addict (ahem), and I fell in love with this home office as soon as I saw it. It's expensive, but oh so pretty. :D
Jimmy Fund Walk for the Cure -- shadowstalkerw is participating in the 2009 Walk for the Cure benefiting Dana Farber Cancer Research and patient care in Boston. He's set a goal of $250, and he's almost there! If you're looking for a charitable cause to donate to, this is an awesome one.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, folks!
