Well, because I don't have anything to write about as a real entry, I'll jump on the bandwagon.

Recommend to me-

1. A Movie
2. A Book *
3. A musical artist, song, or album.
4. An LJ user not on my friends list.
5. Something to do in the next two months; something out of the ordinary for me.

Danke. :)

EDIT: Book does not necessarily mean fiction.. I've been looking to broaden my horizons of late. I'm predominantly interested in history, but interesting sciences (forensics) and spirituality would be welcome as well.

I'd recommend the 'Sword of Truth' series by Terry Goodkind, if you've not yet read them. They're a fantasy series. His latest just came out at the end of last year, 2003.

I read the first 6 books of the Sword of Truth, then could no longer ignore the similarities to Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, and.. as much as Jordan annoys me, I think he's the far better writer. So.. I gave Goodkind the boot. :(

Ah! I've never read Wheel of Time. Perhaps I should. Definately worth seeing if the library has them.

Well, let's see here...

1. A Movie: "Dead Again". Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson are always fabulous, though Branagh's pseudo-L.A. accent is amusing.
2. A Book: "I'm Just Here for the Food" by Alton Brown. Good science-of-food-for-the-non-scientist book. Alternatively, "Cookwise" by Shirley Corriher is a fabulous book in a similar vein, though a bit more technical.
3. A musical artist, song, or album: Moxy Fruvous, "Live Noise". The Canadian folk-rockers at their best, in front of a live audience.
4. An LJ user not on my friends list: Alton Brown, of course!
5. Something to do in the next two months; something out of the ordinary for me: Try a cuisine you've never had before. Ethiopian, perhaps?

Alton...has a blog?! I did not know this!!!

I'd say I love you Dunc, but.. Roho and Takaza would find some way to embarass me with it (Okay, Taki might not, but Roho definately would). ;) And I actually have planned on picking up that book- soon as I found out he had one out. :)
