Moto looks like an interesting Chicago eatery (was featured on Food Network) but... I really don't think I want to pay $115-175 just for the novelty. (although their dessert nachos look quite yummy)

Moto and Alinea are sort of similar (though Alinea is the one getting all the high-profile praise these days). Each are equally fascinating and financially inaccessible, alas.

Now, one bit of big fun: Grant Achatz of Alinea released a cookbook last year that's gorgeous and more than a little out there. Carol Blymire, who cooked her way through the French Laundry cookbook in a similar fashion, is making all the recipes in the Alinea cookbook and documenting them in a wonderfully snarky and hilarious way over at Alinea at Home. I highly recommend it!

(Nice side note: Carol did a fund raiser for Share Our Strength before Christmas, raffling off copies of the Alinea cookbook to donors. Alas, I didn't win one, but I did receive a lovely hand-written thank-you not from her. Very classy lady.)

Nice! One of these days I need to sit down and get your list of food blogs. :)
